Intelligence Studies Project Director Steve Slick met on April 19 with the Public Safety and Security Committee at the Airports Council International-North America’s annual meeting in Austin. Slick was joined by representatives of the FBI and Department of Homeland Security on a panel devoted to threat intelligence. The presentation focused on post 9/11 intelligence reforms, information sharing, and lessons learned from recent attacks by the Islamic State against transportation targets in Brussels, Belgium.
